I create space for others to be authentic

Hi, I’m Scott.

In my career managing complex technical programs, I’ve found that the true driver of success isn’t the technology or the infrastructure—it’s the people. My expertise lies in unblocking their potential by taking ambiguous, chaotic requirements and translating them into clear, executable roadmaps.

I apply this same philosophy to human systems. Alongside my technical leadership, I work as a Transition Architect, coaching high-performing professionals through career plateaus and life transitions. Using structured frameworks like strategic journaling and systems thinking, I help leaders regain mental clarity, unblock their momentum, and execute their next phase.

I started Pen & Journal because I realized that the exact same systems-thinking approach is what we need to navigate our own lives.

When you hit a plateau—whether in your career, your personal life, or your creative projects—your mind becomes a tangled web of competing priorities. The notebook is the ultimate offline tool to untangle that web. It is where we collect the data, spot the patterns, and engineer the breakthrough.

I don’t believe in high-pressure coaching or one-size-fits-all life hacks. I believe in sitting down, looking at the reality of where you are, and mapping a sustainable path to where you want to be.

Whether you are joining the $4/mo Journal Circle to find a quiet space for your thoughts, or we are sitting down for a 1-on-1 Transition Mapping Session, my goal is the same: to help you regain your focus and execute your next phase with confidence.

Let’s unblock the momentum!
